Most local CCRRs regularly
organize Emergency Child Care First Aid courses (formerly Child Safe First Aid) for those child
care workers who need to acquire or renew their certification (every three years). These courses
are generally 8 hours in length.

The Vital Link
All Westcoast/VCCRR first aid courses are provided by The Vital Link. This 8 hour course includes obstructed airway procedures,
breathing emergencies and CPR for babies, children and
youth; basic first aid for common injuries. There is a
section on child safety.
