Infant & Toddler Childcare Team Lead
South Vancouver Neighbourhood House (SVNH) will be operating a new licensed 49 space childcare centre located at West Fraserlands (Kent St & Kerr St) this Winter. We are seeking a creative, caring and dedicated Infant Childcare Team Lead for our 12 space Infant Childcare, and Toddler Childcare Team Lead for our 12 space Toddler Childcare.
Required Experience:
- Valid BC ECE Infant & Toddler license to practice, First Aid and Food Safe
- Valid Special Needs ECE license to practice an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Check upon hire
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare in a leadership role
- Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Childcare Licensing Regulations
- Able to provide reflective and emergent curriculum
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Enjoys working in an inclusive and diverse community
- Second language an asset
- Passion for professional development and growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the leadership, supervision and administration of the program.
- Lead the staff team to plan, evaluate, and implement daily activities in line with SVNH philosophy that support and promote the development of the whole child
- Work in partnership and with the Coordinator and Director to explore and implement innovative programming
- Builds and maintains supportive and collaborative relationships with families and community service providers
- Adapt to changing circumstances, handle emergencies skilfully using discretion and confidentiality
- Ensure best practices, licensing requirements and SVNH policies and procedures are met for the program
Salary & Benefits:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35hr/wk
- Type: Regular Full Time
- Wage: $24.32-$26.05 depending on experience, skills and qualifications. Plus $6 Wage Enhancement
