On-Call (ECE/ECEA) Substitute

• Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE or ECEA) Certificate.

• Or Responsible Adult Training (20 hours of specific training about child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition).

Required Experience:

• Must have experience working with young children 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for preschool-age children who demonstrate an attitude of love and respect.
• Collaborate in the implementation of daily programs and activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Support children in daily routines including mealtimes, nap times and outdoor play.
• Set up play equipment for outside/ inside play.
• Follow licensing regulations and adhere to daycare policies and procedures.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary is $18.00 per hour (plus $6/hr ECE Wage Enhancement where applicable)

At Wee Care Day Care Centre, we nourish young minds. For over thirty years (please confirm), as a non-profit daycare, we have provided nurturing and attentive childcare services for preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old to provide quality care to families in our community.

We are expanding our Sub Team, we are seeking a few ECE Teachers to provide vacation coverage for Wee Care staff. Which can potentially lead to longer Temporary contracts in the summer. 

(We already have some dates set out that can guarantee you some hours starting in October)
