Manager, Child and Parent Programs
Additional Qualifications:
• Early Childhood or other Relevant Post-secondary education including BC Early Childhood Diploma or degree
• Minimum of 5-7 year’s experience in child care centers or equivalent with at least 3 year’s supervisory responsibility
• Subject area knowledge and leadership in early childhood education and development, child care, parent and family support services, program design/evaluation, financial and human resource management
• Experience facilitating child & parent and early childhood educator professional development workshops
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable with public speaking
• Proven ability to create successful, empowered, collaborative teams
• Capacity for strategic thinking and vision while taking care of details

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic leader to step into the exciting full-time role of Manager, Child and Parent Programs. As a key member of NSCR’s senior leadership team, you’ll lead an enthusiastic team of Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) Consultants and others committed to serving families, child care providers and early childhood educators. You have considerable experience working in the child care and early years sector and an ability to bring people together to achieve real community benefits. You build mutually beneficial relationships with other organizations and agencies to enhance community impact and NSCR’s reputation.

Your Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
• Provides strategic vision and direction for NSCR’s Child and Parent Program
• Designs program goals and ensures their timely implementation
• Creates systems for measuring program impact through appropriate metrics and data
• Provides leadership in the program and NSCR marketing and communication generally
• Develops and maintains strong, collaborative partnerships across the sector including with the Ministry of Education and Child Care, the federal government, municipalities, school districts, VCH, other not for profits organizations
• With offices in West and North Vancouver, ensures the appropriate delivery of service contracts and other grants including the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR), Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) and municipal grants
• Represents NSCR on various committees and planning tables
- Leading the Team
• Recruits, supervises, supports and evaluates a dynamic team of committed professionals with experience in early years development and child care
• Ensures a positive, supportive working environment for the program staff and volunteers
• Contributes to strong organizational culture as part of NSCR’s Senior Leadership Team
- Financial Management
• Identifies and secures sustainable funding sources for programs and services including researching and drafting grant applications
• Develops and executes program budgets on time and on budget
• Ensures timely and appropriate financial reporting to the Executive Director and funders
Salary & Benefits:
