School Age Care Team Lead

Required Experience:

• Valid BC ECE license to practice, First Aid and Food Safe
• Valid Special Needs ECE license to practice an asset
• Clear Criminal Record Check upon hire
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare in a leadership role
• Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Childcare Licensing Regulations
• Able to provide reflective and emergent curriculum
• Strong team building and written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoys working in an inclusive and diverse community
• Second language in Tagalog, Punjabi, Hindi, Vietnamese, Mandarin or Cantonese an asset
• Passion for professional development and growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the leadership and supervision of the program.
• Lead the staff team to plan, evaluate, and implement daily activities in line with SVNH philosophy that support and promote the holistic development of the child
• Work in partnership and with the Coordinator and Director to explore and implement innovative programming
• Builds and maintains supportive and collaborative relationships with families, community partners and service providers
• Adapt to changing circumstances, handle emergencies skilfully using discretion and confidentiality
• Ensure best practices, licensing requirements and SVNH policies and procedures are met for the program

Salary & Benefits:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35hr/wk
• Program Hours: Regular school days are 7:30am to 9:30am and 2:30 -6pm & school closures for professional development day and winter, spring and summer breaks are from 7:30am to 6pm.  
• Type: Regular Full Time
• Wage: $25.42-$27.23 depending on experience, skills and qualifications. Plus $6 Wage Enhancement if qualified
