Children 0 to 6. Siblings up to 12 years old
Additional Qualifications:
- A second language (Mandarin preferred) is an asset.
- Current First Aid and Food Safe certifications.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (mileage and work-related insurance costs covered by the employer).
Required Experience:
- You hold an Early Childhood Education Certificate
- You have experience working with families and children aged 0-12 and a solid understanding of child development.
- You excel at building trusting relationships and creating a welcoming, multicultural environment.
- You’re organized, flexible, and calm under pressure, with excellent time management and communication skills.
- You’re proactive, collaborative, and eager to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you’ll contribute to Richmond Family Place’s mission by:
- Supporting and delivering family resource programs, including literacy initiatives, outdoor play, and special events.
- Providing guidance to caregivers, modeling positive interactions, and fostering age-appropriate play with children.
- Offering assessment, referrals, and one-on-one support to families as needed.
- Building and maintaining relationships with community partners and agencies.
- Keeping accurate statistics and reporting on family support programs.
- Assisting with fundraising activities and attending Richmond Family Place events.
Salary & Benefits:
- Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday (until 5:00 PM every 4th Wednesday for staff meetings)
- Salary: $22.45 - $25.00/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience) Please Note: This position is NOT eligible for the provincial ECE wage enhancement.
