ECE Teacher & Associate Teacher
Required Experience:
Candidates will be expected to:

Be legally entitled to work in Canada

Minimum of 2 years experience working with 3 and 4 year olds

Hold current ECE certification
-
Hold an age-appropriate First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Preferred Experience/Qualities:

Knowledge and understanding of the International Baccalaureate programmes, preferably with experience teaching in the Primary Years Programme
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
These may include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
Collaborating with a co-teacher, plan and implement the academic and social-emotional learning programme for a PK3 or PK4 class
-
Keep up to date with developments in the IB PYP, including teaching resources and methods
-
Participate in collaborative planning and reflection meetings
-
Foster students’ independence and self-management skills, as developmentally appropriate
-
Ensure the safety of children with special needs, including allergies, neurodivergence, and medical conditions
-
Conduct age-appropriate assessments to prepare report cards and conduct parent-teacher conferences as per the annual school calendar
-
Be available to meet parents when requested and foster open and supportive communications between school and home
-
Assist with prospective student assessments on one or two weekend days per year
-
Perform duties such as before- and after-school care
-
Maintain regular records on the school’s Learning Management System
-
Engage in regular professional development, especially to maintain Early Childhood Certification
-
Support the school in maintaining a classroom environment that follows the regulations and meets the requirements set by Vancouver Coastal Health and the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care

Attend professional development workshops as required by the school

Understand that working hours may occasionally extend beyond 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Salary & Benefits:
Lead Teacher = The salary range for this position will be $65,000 to $79,000 based on skills and experience.
Associate Teacher = The salary range for this position will be $60,000 to $71,000 based on skills and experience.
