Infant & Toddler ECE - Temporary Fulltime Maternity Leave - (Long-Term Auxiliary)

Required Experience:

• At least one year experience working with children in a licenced child care setting.
• Team player; flexible, punctual, reliable with good communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and reassess priorities throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all McGregor policies, Licensing and legal requirements.
• Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming.
• Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interactions with children, families and staff.
• Create and deliver developmentally appropriate programming.
• Arrange the physical set up of the centre and maintain a neat, orderly and clean environment.
• Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the centre, children, families and staff.
• Establish clear, consistent and simple expectations and limits with children.
• Work with reasonable autonomy and independence in arranging materials and ideas for the children, under the direction of the Program Supervisor.
• Complete all required daily shift duties with efficiency.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings as necessary.
• Arrange for shift coverage when unable to work a scheduled shift.
• Work cooperatively as a member of a team in a professional and respectful manner.
• Preform other duties as directed.

Salary & Benefits:

$23.87hr - $25.72/hr.

This position qualifies for the BC ECE-Wage Enhancement in addition to the regular wages.
