Early Childhood Educator/ECE Assistant

Required Experience:

• Ability to work collaboratively with other ECEs
• Experience working with children with additional support needs is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the ECEs managing the summer program
• Supervise children in the clasroom, on the playground and on field trips
• Assist in preparing the classroom and with cleaning protocols
• Provide positive behavioural support in collaboration with the ECEs
• Support social development

Salary & Benefits:

Salary is competitive, based on experience and qualifications. Hourly rate from $22 to $25 for ECE, and $19 to $21 for ECEA.

We are hiring two Early Childhood Educators for our summer program for children ages 3 to 5. We are willing to hire ECEAs working towards their ECE certificate. These are temporary, full-time positions, beginning June 23rd and ending August 29th. The program runs Monday through Friday. Shifts would be 8am to 4pm, or 9am to 5pm (8 hour day includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break).

CHSC has been providing listening and spoken language programs for children with hearing loss since 1963. Come join our highly trained team and gain valuable experience working with children, including those with hearing loss.
