Giving Tuesday: Help us strengthen communities and transform lives

This Giving Tuesday, WCCRC is proud to be participating in a global day of giving! 

This year we are raising funds to support our Westcoast Early Learning Library (WELL) campaign.  This project is vitally important as this valuable service is made possible through charitable donations. We need your help to reach our goal of $5,000!

Our mission is to provide information, referrals, training, and resources to families, individuals and organizations who are seeking the best child care and early learning. As educators, parents and early care and learning professionals, we know how much you value our work, and Giving Tuesday is a meaningful opportunity for you to show your support.

Libraries strengthen communities and transform lives every day. Our library is unique in countless ways.  In addition to freely lending early learning books and materials, our beloved Westcoast Early Learning Library:

  • Houses British Columbia’s most comprehensive, publicly accessible collection of materials related to early childhood education and care. 

  • Makes nearly 12,000 items, including a huge range of high-quality open-ended resources to support learning through play for children aged 0-5, available to everyone, for FREE!

  • Contains BC’s largest purpose-built collection of materials which support anti-bias education, diversity and inclusion in the early years.

  • Offers professional development and student resources on a variety of topics from ECE theory and practice to program planning, child care administration and more.

  • Has experienced staff on-hand to offer expertise and assistance in selecting and using materials with young children and innovative learning opportunities that inspire patrons and advance knowledge.

The WELL is free for all borrowers! This includes our valued educators, families, students, care providers and all who are interested in quality early learning and care.
