Welcome back to Friday Spotlight! After a summer hiatus we are back, chatting with Michelle Sradovnic about her upcoming workshop Managing Big Feelings: An Introduction to Emotion Regulation in Children.

In episode 13, registered clinical counsellor Michelle discusses how we hold space for children's emotions, including the difficult ones, and how we can support and steer children to express their emotions through experiencing, identifying, and processing them without becoming overwhelmed.

The Province is providing direct funding to child care providers to cut child care fees again, this time by as much as $550 each month, starting on December 1, 2022. 

The Province is providing direct funding to child care providers to cut child care fees again, this time by as much as $550 each month, starting on December 1, 2022.

Families don’t have to take any action to see these new savings, they will be automatically applied to their child care bills each month for each child kindergarten aged and younger in a participating licensed child care centre.

In 2019, Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre (WCCRC) developed an Administration & Management for Child Care (AMCC) training program for early childhoodeducators (ECEs). This initiative was funded through the Canada-British Columbia Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.

Ashleigh is the presenter of our upcoming IN PERSON workshop Dramatic Play: More than Just the Housekeeping Corner On Saturday July 23 from 9:30am - 2pm.

Ashleigh is a post-secondary CWE instructor for Sprott Shaw College and has worked in a variety of roles with children over the last ten years, but she comes from a theatre background, previously working as a drama & musical theatre instructor.
